OPT-OUT;

Hey everybody! Since Simon Laurent is a horrible little monster and almost undeniably the most morally bankrupt character to grace his canon, I have created this opt-out post for him! Comments will be screened. Unfortunately, this selfish and traumatized teenager comes with a few warnings.

Content warnings for:

1) Spoilers for Infinity Train Seasons 2 and 3: Simon has been pulled from the end of season 3 episode 04, however, I tend to refer to things that may or may not happen in the future within bracket text. As he is also present during a significant portion of season 2, tagging him may come with spoilers for that season as well. If you wish to continue tagging me but do not want spoilers, please, please do not hesitate to comment down below and specify that!

2) Mentions of anxiety disorder, panic attacks, and some evidence of post traumatic stress: While not formally diagnosed, Simon describes the symptoms of a panic attack in episode 04 specifically, and due to his traumatic past and abandonment on an Eldritchian Horror Vehicle when he was ten, he comes with all the aforementioned mental health issues. However, I tend to use these sparingly and only when truly necessary, and if they do come up in a thread with a new person I will shoot a message with a warning/asking for permission first!

3) Mentions of death, murder, and violence involving minors: Infinity Train is in a weird place because technically, the show never shows blood being spilt or anything that would be considered graphic by censor standards, but there are several incredibly horrifying scenes that take place in the show involving characters who are very young. Simon is eighteen, and while at this canonpoint he has yet to kill any people, he definitely has committed an alarmingly high amount of Train Person murders.

4) Gaslighting, victim-blaming, emotional manipulation: Unfortunately, this comes with the territory too, however! Simon is new to this world, and a lot of his behavior re: this type of thing usually has to do with train mechanics. Hopefully... He will learn to grow out of it and be called out on his shit, but um, not a great guy. Not at all.

Also, as Simon is selfish and just not the kindest of souls, I can understand if anyone who has seen the show (or not) would just like to avoid tagging him! No rhyme, reason, or explanation necessary. Just comment below and I'll be sure to avoid tagging you with him. Thank you so much for reading this through!
